The S.C. Law Enforcement Division charged four current and former town officials with criminal conspiracy and misconduct in office in connection with the town of McBee.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged the mayor of McBee, its police chief and two former police officers with criminal conspiracy and misconduct in office, according to SLED.
Timothy R. Knight, 51, Michael A. Irvin, 52, and Gregory P. Block, 41, were charged Monday, July 27, 2026, with criminal conspiracy and misconduct in office, according to SLED. The three were booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center, according to SLED.
SLED also charged Glenn C. Odom, 77, with criminal conspiracy and three counts of misconduct in office on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, according to SLED. Odom was booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center, according to SLED.

The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, according to SLED.
