The South Carolina State Library has released its list of January electronic state publications, according to the State Library. The publications are available through the South Carolina Digital State Documents Depository, which provides electronic access to state agency reports, statistics and data.
Among the featured items is a winter weather resource guide produced by the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, a division of the Office of the Adjutant General, according to the State Library. The guide, titled South Carolina Winter Weather: Cold Weather Hazards in South Carolina: Your Winter Prep Checklist, is intended to help residents protect themselves and their property during hazardous winter conditions.
The South Carolina Emergency Management Division leads the state’s emergency management program by supporting local authorities in reducing loss of life and property from all-hazard events, according to the division.
Topics covered in the guide include winter weather terminology, power and heating safety tips, and steps to protect people and property before, during and after a winter storm, according to the State Library.
