COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette and First Lady Peggy McMaster released their weekly schedules for Aug. 17, 2026, according to the Office of the Governor.
On Monday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m., McMaster held a press conference to announce budget vetoes at the Statehouse, first floor, 1100 Gervais St., Columbia, according to the office.
On Tuesday, Aug. 18, at noon, Evette is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Sustain SC Circularity Summit at Edventure Children’s Museum, 211 Gervais St., Columbia, according to the office.
On Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m., McMaster is scheduled to oversee a State Fiscal Accountability Authority meeting in Room 252 of the Edgar Brown Building, 1205 Pendleton St., Columbia, according to the office.
The office also released McMaster’s schedule for the week of Aug. 10, 2026. On Monday, Aug. 10, at 11:45 a.m., McMaster attended an event with U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham for the ceremonial naming of Joint Base Lindsey Graham in North Charleston, according to the office.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 11:30 a.m., McMaster and the first lady voted in the U.S. Senate special Republican primary at the Lourie Senior Center, according to the office.
On Wednesday, Aug. 12, McMaster joined business, tourism and government officials at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant to recognize the Darlington Raceway kickoff to the Cook Out Southern 500, then toured HII Newport News Shipbuilding Charleston operations in Goose Creek, according to the office. He later held office hours at the Statehouse, presented the Order of the Palmetto to Col. Christopher Williamson, and held a ceremonial signing for S. 935, addressing seizures in the workplace, according to the office.
On Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7:15 p.m., McMaster and the first lady attended the South Carolina Republican Party’s 59th annual Silver Elephant dinner at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, according to the office.
