SLED Charges Orangeburg County Man in Connection with October 2025 SC State Shootings

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged a 20-year-old man with possession of a firearm on school property as its investigation into two campus shootings continues.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged Javarrious Jamison, 20, with possession of a firearm on school property on Monday, according to SLED.

The S.C. State University Department of Public Safety requested the SLED investigation, according to SLED. Jamison was booked into the Orangeburg County Detention Center, according to SLED.

The case will be prosecuted by the 1st Circuit Solicitor’s Office, according to SLED.

SLED was requested by the S.C. State University Department of Public Safety to investigate two shootings that occurred on campus the evening of Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, according to SLED. The investigations are active and ongoing, according to SLED.
