SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged a Spartanburg County man Thursday with bank fraud, prostitution and obstruction of justice, according to SLED.
Fredrick Trent Payne, 43, was charged with a crime against a federally chartered financial institution, first-offense prostitution and obstruction of justice, SLED said.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation that led to the charges, according to the agency. Additional details are contained in warrants attached to the announcement.
Payne was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center, SLED said.
The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case, according to SLED.
