A 22-year-old man faces murder and weapons charges following a SLED investigation requested by Blackville police.
BARNWELL, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged Antonio Montavius Battle, 22, with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to SLED.
The charges were filed Wednesday, according to SLED. The Blackville Police Department requested the investigation and assisted SLED in carrying it out, according to SLED.
Battle was booked into the Barnwell County Detention Center, according to SLED.
The Blackville Police Department and the Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office assisted in making the arrest, according to SLED.
The 2nd Circuit Solicitor’s Office will prosecute the case, according to SLED.
