The S.C. Department of Education is asking for public comment on a request to extend the spending deadline for two years of federal after-school program grants.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Education is seeking a federal waiver to give itself and local school districts more time to spend money from the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers program, according to the department.
