U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn offered condolences to the family of Sen. Lindsey Graham, citing decades of service together in Congress.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — U.S. Rep. James E. Clyburn, D-S.C., released a statement on the passing of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, according to Clyburn’s office.
“I was shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham. Our political relationship was sometimes partisan and passionate, but always pleasant and productive on behalf of the people of South Carolina. My family and I send our deepest condolences to Darlene and the entire Graham family,” Clyburn said, according to his office.
Clyburn said he and Graham served the people of South Carolina together in Congress for more than three decades, according to his office.
“Throughout that time, we maintained a relationship grounded in mutual respect, even when our political differences were significant. His commitment to public service and the people he represented will remain an enduring part of his legacy,” Clyburn said, according to his office.
