The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged Corie Chandler, 43, with abuse of a vulnerable adult on Friday, July 31, 2026, according to SLED.
The Midlands Regional Center, which is operated by the Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, requested the SLED investigation, according to SLED.
Chandler was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, according to SLED.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, according to SLED.
