A former Town of Kingstree public works employee faces embezzlement and conspiracy charges, while three others were charged with criminal conspiracy, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
KINGSTREE, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged a former Town of Kingstree public works employee with embezzling public funds and criminal conspiracy, according to SLED.
Lakilyis Jawara Ceasar, 24, was charged Monday with embezzlement of public funds valued at $10,000 or more and criminal conspiracy, SLED said.
Three other people — Shamir Cheatique Bradley, 24, Davonte Antwan Green, 23, and Tyhiem Da’Shawn Malik Hopkins, 24 — were each charged with criminal conspiracy on Aug. 21, according to SLED.
The Town of Kingstree requested the investigation, SLED said. Further details are contained in arrest warrants attached to the release.
All four were booked into the Williamsburg County Detention Center, according to SLED.
The 3rd Circuit Solicitor’s Office will prosecute the case, SLED said.
