COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged former North Charleston Police officer Seth Richard Worrell, 31, with misconduct in office and failure to report child abuse on Wednesday, according to SLED.
The North Charleston Police Department requested the SLED investigation, according to SLED.
Worrell was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston County, according to SLED.
The 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office will prosecute the case, according to SLED.
