Fry Demands South Carolina National Guard Drop Probe Into Salute From the Shore Pilots

SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. — U.S. Rep. Russell Fry, R-S.C., sent a letter to Maj. Gen. Robin B. Stilwell, adjutant general of the South Carolina National Guard, demanding the Guard drop its investigation into eight Apache helicopter pilots who participated in the 2026 Salute from the Shore, according to the office of Rep. Fry.

During the event, the pilots conducted flyovers along the South Carolina coast, according to Fry’s office.
