SLED charged a 34-year-old Lexington County woman with seven counts of forgery and presenting a false insurance claim following a request from the state insurance department.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged Morica Dyshalik Rivers, 34, with seven counts of forgery involving less than $10,000 and one count of presenting a false claim for insurance payment involving more than $2,000 but less than $10,000, according to SLED.
The charges were filed Monday, according to SLED.
The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested that SLED investigate the case, according to SLED.
Rivers was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center, according to SLED.
The South Carolina Department of Insurance will prosecute the case, according to SLED.
