COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a series of public events scheduled for the week of August 10, 2026, according to the Office of the Governor.
On Monday at 11:45 a.m., McMaster and Evette attended an event with U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham for the ceremonial naming of Joint Base Lindsey Graham in North Charleston.
On Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster planned to vote in the U.S. Senate Special Republican Primary at the Lourie Senior Center in Columbia.
On Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., McMaster planned to join Darlington Raceway along with business leaders, tourism leaders, and state and local officials for the Darlington Raceway Kick Off to Cook Out Southern 500 event aboard the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant.
On Friday at 10 a.m., Evette planned to attend a ribbon cutting for the Middle Tyger Education Center in Duncan.
On Saturday at 7:15 p.m., McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster planned to attend the South Carolina Republican Party’s 59th annual Silver Elephant dinner at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
