Gov. Henry McMaster will appear with a Justice Department official Thursday to announce fraud enforcement actions across the Southeast, according to the Office of the Governor.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Gov. Henry McMaster’s schedule for Thursday, July 30, 2026, includes a press conference on federal fraud enforcement, according to the Office of the Governor.
At 12:15 p.m., McMaster will join Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald of the Justice Department’s National Fraud Enforcement Division and other senior federal and state officials for a press conference announcing record fraud enforcement actions across the Southeast and new enforcement partnerships in the region, according to the Office of the Governor.
The event will be held at the U.S. Department of Justice National Advocacy Center, 1620 Pendleton Street, Columbia, according to the Office of the Governor.
The press conference is open only to Justice Department hard pass holders or their designees, and television coverage will be pooled, according to the Office of the Governor. Still photographers must RSVP, and RSVPs will be strictly enforced. Media must present government-issued photo identification and valid media credentials, according to the Office of the Governor.
