The Florence market’s annual fall festival will add more than 10 specialty food vendors alongside its usual selection of plants, flowers and pumpkins.
FLORENCE — The Pee Dee State Farmers Market will hold its Fall Plant and Flower Festival Oct. 2-4, according to the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.
This year’s event adds more than 10 specialty food vendors to the market’s lineup, the department said. Visitors will find what the department described as the Pee Dee area’s largest selection of fall plants, flowers and pumpkins, along with home, yard and garden décor and various crafts.
Food vendors will operate throughout the festival, and the market’s onsite restaurant, Aloha Kitchen, will serve Hawaiian food. Local fall produce will also be stocked, according to the department.
South Carolina Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions about fall planting, the department said.
The festival runs Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the market, located at 2513 W. Lucas St. in Florence.
Admission and parking are free, and the market offers complimentary electric vehicle charging stations, according to the department. Wagons are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis, though the department said visitors are encouraged to bring their own due to limited supply.
