Alan Wilson is asking federal regulators to make it harder for scammers to place illegal robocalls using legitimate phone numbers.
Based on a release from S.C. Attorney General.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Attorney General Alan Wilson called on the Federal Communications Commission to strengthen rules targeting illegal robocalls, according to the Office of the Attorney General.
Wilson urged the FCC to cut off scammers’ access to legitimate telephone numbers, which would make it harder for them to place robocalls using those numbers, the office said.
