The State Law Enforcement Division charged a 22-year-old man following an investigation requested by the FBI.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged Zayne Daniel Smith, 22, with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, according to SLED.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation requested the SLED investigation, according to SLED. Further details are contained in the arrest warrant, according to SLED.
Smith was booked into the Darlington County Detention Center, according to SLED.
The case will be prosecuted by the 4th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, according to SLED.
