The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged a Richland County man with forgery and insurance fraud, completing a case that has now netted three defendants.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division on Monday charged Matthew Jo Von Coaxum, 45, with forgery of $10,000 or more and presenting a false claim for insurance payment of $10,000 or more, according to SLED.
The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation, according to SLED.
Coaxum was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, according to SLED.
SLED previously charged two other people in connection with the case. Zanajia Wilson-James, 29, was charged April 2 with presenting a false claim for insurance payment of $10,000 or more, according to SLED. Tikia Simone Carter, 33, was charged May 12 with the same offense, according to SLED.
The South Carolina Department of Insurance will prosecute the case, according to SLED.
