The South Carolina Department of Education is requesting an extension of the period of availability for fiscal year 2024 Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers program funding, according to the South Carolina Department of Education.
The department is seeking a waiver under Section 8401 of the Every Student Succeeds Act to extend the availability of the funds for the state and all local education agencies to Dec. 31, 2027, according to the department.
Relevant personnel and members of the public can review the waiver request and submit questions or comments to Joyce Patterson, the department’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers Team Leader, at [email protected] by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, according to the department.
