COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina State Library has published its list of February electronic state publications, according to the S.C. State Library.
The list is part of the South Carolina Digital State Documents Depository, which provides electronic access to state agency publications, according to the State Library. The publications offer citizens information about state government, including statistics, reports and data on a range of topics, according to the State Library.
Among the February publications is “Make Time for Play Time!,” a guide produced by the South Carolina Department of Public Health, according to the State Library. The guide offers parents and caregivers ideas for keeping children physically active, with recommended activities and toys for children from birth to age 10, according to the State Library. It is available in English and Spanish, according to the State Library.
The Department of Public Health was created by the state Legislature under the DHEC Restructuring Act of 2023, according to the State Library. Its mission is to protect, promote and improve the health and well-being of everyone in South Carolina, according to the State Library.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that infants and children engage in physical activity daily, according to the State Library.
