The S.C. State Library has published its complete list of May electronic South Carolina state publications, according to the S.C. State Library.
The publications are made available through the South Carolina Digital State Documents Depository, which provides electronic access to state agency materials, according to the S.C. State Library. The depository offers citizens information about state government, including statistics, reports and data on a range of topics, according to the S.C. State Library.
Among the May publications is a document titled “The Facts on…Gym Memberships,” produced by the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. The document covers general information about gym membership contracts, automatic renewals, canceling a contract, and what to do when a gym closes, according to the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.
The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs was established in 1974 as the state’s consumer protection agency, according to the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. The agency helps formulate and modify consumer laws, policies and regulations; regulates the consumer credit marketplace; resolves complaints related to the production, promotion or sale of consumer goods or services in South Carolina; and promotes a competitive business climate between buyers and sellers, according to the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.
