The State Law Enforcement Division charged three people after investigations found a minor was given a pistol and several minors were allowed access to alcohol.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged three people in connection with separate investigations in Fairfield County that found one minor was given a pistol and several minors were allowed to access alcohol, according to SLED.
William Wesley Jones, 38, was charged Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with delivery of a pistol to a minor, according to SLED. Jones also faces charges of purchase of beer or wine for a person under 21, giving beer or wine to a minor, and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to SLED.
Brittiany A. Watts, 39, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to SLED.
James D. McDaniel Jr., 35, was charged Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with purchase of beer or wine for a person under 21 and giving beer or wine to a minor, according to SLED.
The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigations, according to SLED. Jones, Watts and McDaniel Jr. were booked into the Fairfield County Detention Center, according to SLED.
The cases will be prosecuted by the 6th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, according to SLED.
