WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Trump has signed a funding package that included the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2026, according to the office of U.S. Rep. Russell Fry. The bill included $3 million secured by Fry for two projects in South Carolina’s Seventh District.

The South Carolina Office of Resilience will receive $1.5 million for stormwater improvements in the City of Dillon from Dargan Street to the Washington Street Trunk Line, according to Fry’s office. The project will replace failing infrastructure to reduce chronic flooding, protect homes, businesses and the Dillon County Courthouse, and safeguard more than 100 properties while supporting future downtown redevelopment, the office said.

The Office of Resilience will also receive $1.5 million for improvements to Crooked Creek in Marlboro County, including removing two to three feet of sediment and clearing debris from about 13 acres of creek banks, according to Fry’s office. The project is intended to reduce flash flooding in Bennettsville, strengthen infrastructure resilience and support future residential and small business growth.

“This is about delivering real results for the people of South Carolina,” Fry said. “These projects will protect families, safeguard local businesses, and make our communities more resilient to severe weather. I was proud to fight for this funding and grateful to President Trump for signing it into law.”

Fry’s office said he previously secured $13,359,887 in federal funding for 11 additional projects across the Seventh District.
